Unleash the liquid fire of the guitar world’s most iconic instrumentalist. This preset is designed to deliver the soaring, vocal-like distortion and infinite sustain that defined Joe Satriani’s classic sound.

⚠️ TRANSPARENCY NOTICE – PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING:

This preset is heavily based on my signature “Main Lead” patch.

It uses the same core amp structure and foundation, with specific tweaks to the EQ, Gain, and Effects settings to strictly match the Satriani vibe.

If you already own my “Main Lead” preset, please be aware that these two are very similar. You should only purchase this if you want these specific “Satch” tweaks pre-dialed and ready to go without adjusting the Main Lead yourself.

The “Satch” Tweaks: While sharing the DNA of the Main Lead, this version features:

• Smoothed Top End: Highs are rolled off slightly differently to remove “fizz” and enhance that vocal quality.

• Liquid Sustain: Gain staging pushed slightly harder to facilitate effortless legato.

• Stereo Width: A specific Chorus/Detune mix added to mimic Satch’s “Harmonizer” wideness.

⚠️ Important Note Regarding the IR: The tightness and punch of this tone are heavily influenced by the cabinet choice. This preset was dialed in using a specific 3rd-party Impulse Response. The IR file is NOT included in this download.

Recommendation: To get the true Satriani vibe, we highly recommend using a high-quality IR of a Marshall 1960B 4×12 cabinet (loaded with Celestion G12T-75s or Greenbacks).

Pro Tip: This preset is optimized for the Bridge Pickup. Use your guitar’s volume knob to control the gain—roll it back slightly for a crunchier rhythm tone, and crank it to 10 for that signature screaming lead.
