A preset is one complete tone: a Tone Model or AmpliTube rig with its cab, effects and settings. TONEX presets export as .txp files, and AmpliTube presets as .at5p files.
Your whole TONEX collection lives in a Library.db file. IRs are the cab WAV files a preset can use. Keep both safe when you back up or move machines.

AmpliTube presets are .at5p files that live in the AmpliTube 5 Presets folder, shared by copying the file.
ToneNET shares Tone Models and presets online. IK Product Manager installs and authorizes them.

On TONEX, the reliable route is the TONEX software and its Librarian. It shows your Tone Models and presets and exports them as .txp files. Here is what it looks like in the app.
Install TONEX for Mac or PC through the IK Product Manager, then open it. The TONEX Editor is there too for your pedal.
Go to the Home or Librarian tab. Your presets and Tone Models are listed, ready to browse, load and export.
Click the preset you want in the preset column. Open the menu next to it so you can choose an export action.
Choose Export Preset and save to a backup folder. Each preset saves as a .txp file. That file is your exported preset, ready to store, share or sell.
AmpliTube presets are .at5p files in the AmpliTube 5 Presets folder. To export one, just copy that file out of the folder.
Bought a preset pack, or restoring a backup? Importing is the same idea in reverse: bring the file into TONEX, or drop it into the AmpliTube Presets folder, then load it up.
In the Home or Librarian tab, open the menu and choose Import Preset, then pick one or more .txp files. They appear in the preset column.
With a TONEX Pedal or ONE connected, transfer the preset to the hardware from the Librarian so it is ready to play live.
Place the .at5p files in the AmpliTube 5 Presets folder inside Documents, then restart AmpliTube. They show up under Custom Shop Presets.
Import any custom IR into the Cab block, and authorize purchased Tone Models through the IK Product Manager so every preset points at the right sound.
Authorize purchased Tone Models on each machine. When you move your library to a new computer, purchased Tone Models must be authorized again through the IK Product Manager. Always close TONEX before copying Library.db so the file is not damaged. And note that AmpliTube 4 presets load into AmpliTube 5 but may sound a little different.
