Preset
A preset is one complete saved tone: your cabinet, microphone, power amp and effect settings. In Wall of Sound a preset saves as a .top file, and on the hardware you save presets through Torpedo Remote.
Everything you need to export presets from Two notes. Learn exactly how Torpedo Remote, Wall of Sound, GENOME and the .top and .tur files work, so you can export your tones, back them up, import them, and get every preset ready to share or sell.
Before you export anything, it helps to know how Two notes organizes your tones. Your presets live across three tools: Torpedo Remote for the hardware, Wall of Sound in your DAW, and the newer GENOME ecosystem.
A preset is one complete saved tone: your cabinet, microphone, power amp and effect settings. In Wall of Sound a preset saves as a .top file, and on the hardware you save presets through Torpedo Remote.
Torpedo Remote controls your USB hardware over USB. Wall of Sound is the cabinet plugin for your DAW. GENOME is the newer all in one plugin with amps, pedals, cabs and RIGs.
DynIR is the Two notes virtual cabinet. A user cabinet or IR is a .tur file, loaded with the Memory Manager. A preset points at its cabinets, so keep them together when you move a tone.
A Wall of Sound preset. Save one with the Save button, then copy the .top file to share it or move it to another computer.
Your cabinets and licenses live in your Two notes account. Sign in so shared presets can find the cabs they use.
In Wall of Sound you set a preset directory. Every .top in that folder shows up in the plugin, ready to load.
Exporting presets from Two notes takes just a few things. Get these ready first and the how to below becomes a quick job.
A hardware unit like the Captor X, C.A.B. M+ or OPUS, or just the Wall of Sound or GENOME plugin. Each has its own way to save presets.
Torpedo Remote for USB hardware, Wall of Sound for cabinet simulation in your DAW, or GENOME for the full plugin ecosystem. All are free downloads from Two notes.
A USB cable for the hardware and Torpedo Remote, or a DAW like Logic, Cubase or Reaper to host the Wall of Sound and GENOME plugins.
Sign in so your cabinets and licenses are available. Presets rely on the DynIR cabinets tied to your account to sound right.
Always get Torpedo Remote, Wall of Sound, GENOME, firmware and manuals straight from Two notes Audio Engineering, never a third party mirror. Sign in with your Two notes account, and keep your plugin updated so your license stays valid.
In Wall of Sound a preset is a .top file you save with a click. On the hardware you save presets through Torpedo Remote. Here is the full process for both.
In Wall of Sound or GENOME, set up your cabinets, microphones, power amp and effects. On the hardware, dial in your sound in Torpedo Remote.
In Wall of Sound, go to Menu then Select preset directory at the top right, and pick the folder where your .top presets are kept.
Click the Save button to store your tone as a .top file in that directory. On the hardware, use Torpedo Remote to save the preset to the unit.
Copy the .top file out of your preset directory into a backup folder. That file is your exported preset, ready to store, share or sell.
A preset points at DynIR cabinets. Note which cabs it needs, and if it uses a custom .tur cabinet or a third party IR, keep that file with the preset.
Bought a preset pack, or restoring a backup? Importing is simple: drop the .top into your preset directory for Wall of Sound, or load it onto the hardware with Torpedo Remote.
If your download is a zip file, decompress it first. Inside you will find .top presets, and sometimes .tur cabinet files.
Go to Menu then Select preset directory, then copy the .top files into that folder. They appear in the plugin's preset list, ready to load.
Connect your unit over USB, open Torpedo Remote, and use the Memory Manager to load presets, .tur cabinets and IRs onto the device.
Make sure the DynIR cabinets a preset uses are in your license, and load any custom .tur or IR file it needs, so the tone is complete.
A preset needs its cabinets, and paths matter. A Two notes preset relies on the DynIR cabinets it uses, so share which cabs are needed. If a preset uses a third party IR, its full path is stored in the .top, so recreate the folder or reload the IR. Importing a Wall of Sound preset onto a Torpedo unit keeps only the first cabinet, since the hardware has fewer sections.
Two notes keeps your presets as files, so backup is easy. Pick whichever fits your setup, and always back up before an update or a new computer.
Copy the whole preset directory of .top files to a backup drive. That folder holds every Wall of Sound preset you have saved.
Use Torpedo Remote to save your unit's presets to your computer, so you can restore them after a firmware update or reset.
Save your custom .tur cabinets and any IR files with your presets, and remember your DynIR cabs live in your Two notes account.

Copy your preset directory, and save your hardware presets in Remote, before a plugin or firmware update or a move to a new computer.
A Wall of Sound preset loads onto a Torpedo unit with only its first cabinet, since the hardware has fewer sections. Build hardware presets on the unit for the best match.
